2024 US Election Results: When will we know who won?

First-round voting is over nationwide. 1800 Eastern Time (2200 Greenwich Mean Time) Final voting closes on Tuesday evening. 0100 EST (0500 GMT) Early Wednesday morning.

However, this race is expected to come down to seven swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

1900 Eastern Standard Time (2300 Greenwich Mean Time) – Polls are closed in Georgia and five other states, and voting is partially closed in two remaining states. This is also when American TV networks are likely to start making first calls of the night in less competitive states like Kentucky.

1930 Eastern Standard Time (2330 Greenwich Mean Time) – Polls have closed in three states, including North Carolina, where Harris is hoping to end a string of losses for Democratic presidential candidates since 2008.

2000 Eastern Standard Time (0000 Greenwich Mean Time) – Voting is partially closed in Pennsylvania, 15 other states, the District of Columbia, Michigan and four other states.

2100 EST (0100 GMT) – All remaining polls close in Michigan. Voting is also closed in 12 states, including Arizona and Wisconsin.

2200 EST (0200 GMT) – Polls are closed in Nevada and two other states, and voting is partially closed in two other states.
