5 dead in shooting in Stade, northern Germany

Five people were killed in a shooting incident in Stade, northern Germany.

Two people have been arrested, one of whom is a suspect, a police spokesman told the BBC.

Police said there was no further threat to the public.

Many paramedics are on the scene. Police advised people on social media channels to avoid the area.

Stade has a population of approximately 50,000 and is located west of Hamburg.
