
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck off the northwest coast of Cuba on Monday afternoon, shaking the entire region, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was felt throughout Cuba, but caused no damage or injuries.
There were reports of shaking as far west as Cancun and the Riviera Maya, with a concentration in the Mexican Caribbean.
There were reports of earthquakes throughout Florida, on the west coast north of Tampa, on the east coast north of Port St. Lucie, and as far south as Key West.
There was one report of an earthquake in Belize.
The epicenter of the earthquake was approximately 65 miles west-northwest of Mantua, Cuba, and 95.7 miles west-northwest of Pinard del Rio.
It reached a depth of 10km around 1pm local time.
