Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the superhero world after a five-year hiatus, but it won't be as Iron Man, the man who launched the blockbuster Marvel franchise.
The actor will reprise his role as Dr. Victor von Doom, the comic book villain who spawned a popular film series.
Downey Jr. appeared on stage behind Doctor Doom's iconic mask and green cape before revealing himself to fans.
He is scheduled to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled to be released in May 2026, and will also appear in the sequel Secret Wars a year later.
