I bought a limited edition advent calendar for my dog Gatsby last year and it was a huge hit. He loves it so much that I’ve already picked up this year’s version, and Gatsby thinks you should do the same for your dog before this calendar sells out.

Like last year’s edition, BARK Season’s Sweetings Advent Calendar for Dogs includes a festive mix of Christmas-themed toys and treats that are sure to be a hit.
If you don’t mind spoilers, here’s what you can see on this year’s calendar:

The 2024 BARK Advent Calendar includes eight new Christmas toys for dogs. Each has a fun name and different functions. You can find toys that squeak and wrinkle, as well as toys that are perfect for games of tug.

For the remaining 16 days of Christmas, your pup will enjoy delicious dog treats that look like holiday cookies. Features a gingerbread man, star, Christmas tree, frosted wreath and frosted candy canes. Please keep in mind that the snacks are a bit large. Last year I had to split them in half for Gatsby, and again he only gained 15 pounds.
The cute factor doesn’t end with toys and treats. You can feel that the packaging itself is lovely, like a brick house prepared for the holidays. The advent calendar also includes a personalized digital Christmas story featuring your pup as a star. Yes, I read Gatsby’s story last year, and yes, he seemed to like it too.

This limited edition advent calendar is only available at Costco. Last year, it sold out thanks to word of mouth, so don’t be surprised if this happens again.

The calendar is advertised for $49.99 on Costco.com, but I purchased it at a Central Ohio Costco for $39.99. We recommend checking your local store for similar discounts!
Wondering if this calendar is worth between $40 and $50? Well then the answer is yes.
- I found last year’s toys to be more than just cute. They were high quality and we still have most of them.
- Gatsby also seemed to give the snack his stamp of approval. Every day he took a snack to his favorite bed before eating it.
If you look at other Bark toys, they typically start at $10 when purchased individually. Buying 8 toys (plus 16 large treats) for up to $50 is an absolute steal! Also, seeing the excitement on Gatsby’s face when I pulled out the Advent calendar was priceless, and I can’t wait for us to experience it again this year.
