The injured victim, an 11-year-old girl, was in “satisfactory condition” Tuesday at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman told The Associated Press.
Mellis said police officers from across the region responded to a 911 call about the shooting and found a “chaotic scene” at the home where a neighbor was providing medical assistance to one of the teenage victims.
Police detained a ‘young man’ shortly afterwards, Mr Melis added.
“There was no serious confrontation with the young man in custody,” Mr Mellis said. “What happened happened. “It’s over.”
The 15-year-old has no criminal history, his lawyer said in court Tuesday. Authorities have until Thursday to file charges against the teen.
