Cameron Norrie reached the semifinals of the Moselle Open in Metz with a win over Zizou Bergs.
Former British No. 1 Norrie had a poor season, missing nearly three months with a forearm injury.
But he came back to make it four in a row earlier in the week and made it three in a row with a 6-3 6-7(6-8) 6-1 win over Belgian star Bergs.
Nori, ranked 57th in the world, has not won on the ATP Tour since July after missing the Olympics and US Open due to a forearm injury.
But his performance this week earned him his first indoor hardcourt tour semifinal and his first tour semifinal since February in Rio de Janeiro.
Norrie said: “I had to fight hard. Zizou fought really well. We should have had a tiebreak in the second set, but he made bigger plays than me and took a little more risk and it paid off.
“I wasn’t that happy, but I was able to reset it. I got a little lucky with a few netcodes that went my way, but I’ll take a little bit of luck when I need it. I was really happy with the way I reset it and I’m glad I got to the semifinals.”
Norrie appeared to have the match in control, leading 6-4 in the tiebreaker, but Bergs won four straight to force the decider.
But Norrie put the disappointment behind her and took control of the third set to face the French. Corentin Rimless For a spot in the finals.
