
TikTok is set to launch an integration with LTK, an app that lets consumers shop through recommendations from creators and influencers, according to videos from some creators seen by TechCrunch. This collaboration increases the ability of fashion creators to earn affiliate commissions through LTK while making it easier for consumers to find the clothing and accessories creators are talking about.
If you follow fashion creators on TikTok, you probably know about LTK (formerly LiketoKnow.it and RewardStyle). The app looks similar to Pinterest or Instagram, but allows creators to post what they’re wearing and link directly to the website in question, allowing viewers to purchase the items as well.
TikTok and LTK have transformed online shopping by giving consumers more information about what they are ordering. For example, if you want to figure out what size to order, you can search for a specific item and its size in each app. If your brand is popular enough, you’ll be able to find creators who model clothes with body types similar to yours, making it easier to decide whether to order their products.
Linking TikTok and the LTK app together will make the experience more seamless and increase TikTok’s reputation as a shopping app rather than just an entertainment destination.

If an author uses the new LTK integration, a link to the LTK item will appear in the comments section. For now, it only appears within the TikTok app.
LTK has confirmed that the feature exists, but is unable to provide further explanation or details at this time. However, creators on Threads posted about program invitations in addition to video creators posting on TikTok with LTK links.
