Hilton has signed a strategic licensing agreement to open 150 Spark hotels across India. Hilton calls Spark a “transition-friendly premium economy brand.”

Spark is introduced to the Asia Pacific region through a deal with Olive by Embassy, a subsidiary of Indian real estate company Embassy Group.

Hilton said India’s first Spark hotels will open in southern India, mainly in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Hilton said its Spark hotels in India will “characterize thoughtful simplicity and reliable service.” The hotel offers a free breakfast and has a 24-hour retail market.

“Common areas will feature a variety of functional seating, from communal tables to rocking chairs, giving guests a variety of options to enjoy breakfast, socialize or work throughout the day,” Hilton said.

Spark launched in 2023 and currently has 133 hotels in the U.S. and Canada, according to the brand’s website.
