Tiger Woods’ 15-year-old son Charlie recorded his first hole-in-one at the PNC Championship in Orlando on Sunday.
In the final round, Charlie made history on the 175-yard par-3 4th hole at the Ritz-Carlton Club.
Charlie, unaware that his ball had gone in, began cheering wildly in the large gallery next to the green, as did another group of fans on the other side of the hall. Most of them had their index fingers raised, some pointing down to indicate that the ball had gone in. Holes, some pointed upwards to show his scores.
Television cameras finally confirmed it for him. Tiger Woods hugged his son tightly and then playfully pushed him away. “It’s the first one.” Charlie said as cameras surrounded him.
“It was a perfect 7-iron, so I just hit it.” Charlie said as he approached the fourth green. “There was a little bit of a 7 cut off in the bottom left. It was really cool. I didn’t know it was in there. You don’t believe anyone until you go up and see it.”
Tiger teased, “You live… that’s the protocol for making a hole-in-one,” but Charlie responded, “I’m poor.”
About 30 minutes later, Paddy Harrington, son of three-time major winner Padrigue Harrington, also recorded a hole-in-one on the 8th hole.

Paddy Harrington scored a stunning hole-in-one in front of his father Padraig at the PNC Championship.
The PNC, where 20 major champions play with their families, is Tiger Woods’ first tournament since undergoing back surgery in September.
Tiger and Charlie have headlined the field but have yet to win a tournament. In 2021, the pair finished second behind John Daly and his son John Daly II.

“It was a truly unmissable moment, but incredible for Charlie. It was a great start and created a real tension for them.
“There’s nothing quite like hitting your shot on the tee and actually getting into the hole. Charlie found it all surreal and it was a really cool moment.”
