10 awesome Nintendo Switch games coming in 2024

This holiday season is the Nintendo Switch’s swan song. Nintendo told us as much when it said the long-awaited Switch sequel would be announced in April 2025. But Nintendo thankfully didn’t get a case of senioritis, as there were so many great titles in 2024 that it looks like they’ll be graduating to Switch sequels. Meet a console that is almost 8 years old. So we’d like to take a little look back at some of our favorite games on Switch in 2024. One of the biggest advantages of this year’s Switch title offerings is that they all have to work on Switch sequels. We have confirmed that the next-gen version will be backwards compatible. (And with any luck, hopefully the game’s performance issues on the current Switch will be resolved when played on the next model.)

We’ll all have to be patient as we continue to wait for the Switch’s sequel, but these games are undoubtedly worth playing during the current Nintendo console’s final few months in the limelight.
