New images of the rumored DJI Flip foldable drone hit late last week, showing the small, brightly colored drone folded, unfolded, and even in a carrying case. The image appeared in a post by Igor Bogdanov, who has shared other credible DJI leaks in the past.
Bogdanov added in yesterday’s post that DJI is preparing a new Cellular Dongle 2 module for small drones. The new leak joins previous images of an ND filter for the Flip, a set of propellers, and a charging hub written by Bogdanov. Bogdanov writes that it can charge two batteries in as little as 45 minutes and uses a “65W parallel charger.”
Here are some of the other photos posted by Bogdanov, including a front screen that drone leaker Jasper Ellens said shows “all the hands-free Quickshots we know from Neo.”
Ellens posted a short video of the drone yesterday, writing that the Flip’s registration number puts it in DJI’s FPV drone category, meaning it will be capable of first-person streaming during flight. In early December, he also leaked details that said the drone would be able to fly for around 30 minutes thanks to its compact foldable approach and larger battery than DJI’s Neo selfie drone.
