Krispy Kreme appears in Pop Tarts

Krispy Kreme has partnered with another popular breakfast product, Pop-Tarts.

The chain is launching three donut treats inspired by toasted pastries: Pop-Tarts Frosted Strawberry, Pop-Tarts Frosted Chocolatey Fudge and Pop-Tarts Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon.

“Pop-Tarts aren’t just for toasters,” said Jessica Waller, general manager of Kellanova Away From Home. “We can bring creativity to our dishes and delight our consumers.” “Krispy Kreme has done an amazing job bringing this opportunity to life by combining their iconic donuts with the beloved flavor of Pop-Tarts to create a truly unique experience for fans of both brands.”

Pop-Tarts are one of Kellanova’s top brands. It has annual sales of less than $1 billion.

The partnership with Krispy Kreme will bring the popular breakfast snack into the donut space while doubling down on its dominant presence in breakfast. The collaboration will also expand the brand’s reach to consumers beyond the grocery and convenience stores for which Pop-Tarts is known.

The North Carolina-based donut chain is no stranger to incorporating iconic food and beverage brands into its circular pastries. Krispy Kreme has previously worked with: Dr. PepperHershey’s Kit-Kat and Mondelēz International’s Oreo and more are available for a limited time.
