Rennes are in advanced talks to sign Celtic forward Kyōgo Furuhashi for around £10m.

Kyogo has been a key player for the Hoops since arriving in Scotland in the summer of 2021 under Ange Postecoglou.

However, Japanese manager Hajime Moriyasu, who has previously criticized the Scottish league, has not always approved of his form at Celtic.
Despite Celtic qualifying for the Champions League, it is believed Kyogo would welcome the opportunity to join a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
The 30-year-old, who kept three clean sheets against Young Boys on Wednesday night, has scored 85 goals for the Hoops in all competitions.
Kyogo had three goals disallowed as Celtic secured Champions League qualification.
Sky Sports News understands that Celtic could bring back winger Jota, who has been frozen out at Rennes since his move from Al-Ittihad last summer. The Hoops are exploring a separate deal with Jota.
Jota left Celtic for Al Ittihad in 2023 for a then-record transfer fee of £25m.

Kyogo took his tally to 85 goals with a double for Ross County.
Brendan Rogers As he admitted last week, he won’t be a bother to anyone if he decides to leave. Celtic:
“I think the biggest thing is that players don’t want to be here and they leave, and at that point the club needs to get the best contract possible, so I don’t see any reason to keep someone who doesn’t want to be here.
“But for us, I think everything is a contingency. Whether it’s an injury or a transfer, it’s something we prepare for. You always have to be ready and that’s our message.
“But at the moment he (Kyogo) is happy, working well, scoring goals and enjoying football.

Kris Boyd and Chris Sutton have praised Celtic’s Kyogo after his impressive performance against Ross County with the forward scoring twice.
“People are always looking into things: ‘He didn’t celebrate enough, he didn’t do this, he didn’t do that.’
“I see him every day, I see his work, I see his intensity. And maybe he scores so many goals that he doesn’t have to celebrate like crazy all the time. Or maybe it’s too cold. But he’s the same guy. .
