The National Geographic Expedition unveiled its 2026 South African tour. Southern Africa: Living and Legendary Paper Journey will be immersed in travelers in rich history, culture and wildlife in South Africa and Zambia.
The expedition, which was developed as part of the company’s signature land portfolio, aims to provide a true appearance with the National Geographic experts and local guides.
Nancy Schumacher, the chief vice president of National Geographic Expedition, said, “Through this new product, our guests can continue the legacy of global exploration by connecting the mysteries of South Africa. “By observing symbolic wildlife, we provide a special approach to one opportunity in a lifetime, from learning about local traditions.”
The highlight of the tour finds an endangered penguin in Cape Town’s cable car riding table mountains, Boulder Beach, and finds a large five lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and cape buffalo. I witnessed the breathtaking Victorian waterfall in Zambia.
Cultural immersion plays an important role by visiting six museums and learning about the way of life in Leya People’s life in the time of Mukuni’s working village.
Conservation messages, including the encounter with Kruger’s experts on the preservation of wildlife, will be overall. The tour also supports the influence of National Geographic.
