The Aboriginal shrubs, found throughout the southeastern United States, are especially famous for their prominent clusters of bright purple fruit that pops out on green leaves in late summer and autumn.
Bushes generally grow up to 3 to 6 feet tall and sometimes up to 9 feet under the right conditions. Once it is established, it is strong and hard in drought during a simple cold snap.
It thrives with the mix of the sun and the shade. If you grow directly under the large trees in the forest, forest edge or backyard, it will flourish.
My American Beauty Berry Plant grows under the shades of several big oaks. There is a sun in the morning and early afternoon, but most of the shades that are loved.
I found this gorgeous plant in a local nursery school. If you live in the southeastern United States, you can do the same. Otherwise, you can often find seeds or young Beautyberry plants online.
If you live in a cold climate that can survive outdoors all year round, it grows in a closed courage or a container of the entrance.
Making a worm spray in dark green leaves is very effective in releasing all kinds of unique bite insects.
As a bonus, you can eat purple berries. They make their own bitter taste but make delicious homemade jam.
I am not sure if this handmade herb spray is effective in repelling deer flies, but it is very effective for mosquitoes, no, crowds and ticks. Now I use deer fly traps as protection.
You will soon find out since the deer fly season in central Florida starts in May.


American Beautyberry Bug Spray
A simple recipe that makes bug spray using the leaves of American Beautyberry Bush. It is very effective with mosquitoes and tick insects.

Fill the food processor with food berry leaves. Put 1/4 cup of witch hazel and mix with a lot of leaves.
In the food processor, add almost the same amount of leaves and another 1/4 cup witch hazel and mix it with the paste.
Move all the leaves with a lot of pasts to the quart -sized mason jar. About half is full.
More Witch Hazelo Mason Jar is on the bottom of the jar.
Tighten the lid and leave the counter at room temperature for two weeks. You can make a slightly weak layout in a few days with pinch.
If the Beautyberry leaf is injected into the witch hazel, turn the jar several times a day.
Omitted the leaf material from the witch hazel injected using flour cloth or fine weave cheese cloth.
Pour the deformed Beauty Berry Witch Hazel into the Spray bottle. Homemade bug spray is now ready to use!
Store unused Beautyberry Bug Spray Botts in dark cabinets. They will be good for up to two years.
