Two British members of the FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) were banned at a conflict with President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
The FIA vice president of Robert Reid and David Richards, the leading British motor sports chairman of the UK, was one of those who had been disclosed after refusing to sign a non -public contract (NDA).
Sky Sports News The NDA understands that members prohibit the discussion of problems related to the FIA, a Formula 1 governing agency outside the official council meeting.
This document is understood as a result of the Ben Sulayem feeling that the FIA’s leaks reached an unbearable level.
The FIA spokesman said Sky Sports News: “In all organizations, the FIA routinely implements procedures, including non -public contracts to ensure confidential relations between all parties, protect personal information and protect regulatory understanding.
“Unexpected disclosure of confidential information has a negative impact on the ability to weaken the ability to fully fulfill our mission, increase motor sports participation, increase accessibility, and to create profits for supporting member clubs.
“The action we took to maintain confidentiality was overwhelmingly supported by most WMSC members.”
Among the exchanges of the legal letter, the meeting left doubt about whether the decision made on Wednesday would be legitimate without disputes and major figures.
Among them, there was an approval that the second essential foot stop was being implemented in Monaco Grand Prix this year.
Reid and Richards decided not to comment when they contacted. Sky Sports News.
Ben Sulayem’s presidential position has been controversial since he was elected in 2021.
Emirati attempted to change the FIA laws to reduce his views of women, to change the FIA law to reduce responsibility, the introduction of more strict punishment for the oath driver, and the start of several senior characters under his leadership.
The 63 -year -old boy was accused of accusations of the FIA accuser who interfered with the results of the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix in 2023, and instructed FIA officials not to certify the Las Vegas circuit for the return of sports in 2023.
The ban on the former Scottish rally co -driver, Lead, is particularly noteworthy, given the senior role in the presidential team of Ben Sulayem, while Richard has publicly supported the presidential election in 2021.
President Stefano Domenicali and Ferrari Team Principal, representing the F1 Committee, are members of WMSC and are not opposed to NDA.
Ben Sulayem was expected to seek another four -year term at the end of 2025, and previously said that there was no problem for others to run against him.
