Kenya’s police recently fired tear gas to dissolve protesters attempted to occupy a church that received a significant donation by President William Luto.
The gift for the ministry of Jesus’ winners in the suburbs of Roysambu in the suburbs of 20m seal ($ 155,000; £ 120,000) has been criticized by some young Kenyians who are struggling with high living expenses.
Ruto defended his donation and provided a gift similar to Eldoret’s other church.
Last year, Kenya’s Catholics and Anglican leaders refused to donate and insisted that the church needed to prevent it from being used for political purposes.
Some people were arrested during the conflict, and the protesters entered the church to fire and use rocks to prevent nearby roads.

Bishop Edward McWai reported that people without names mobilized “gangs” to interfere with church service, Star website reported.
Evangelical Christian Ruto said it was an attempt to resolve the state’s moral corruption by defending donations.
“Kenya must know God to be ashamed of those who say we can’t have a relationship with the church,” he quoted him as Eldoret in another church.
The Kenyans were angry with a series of tax hikes introduced since Luto was elected in 2022.
He said he should pay back huge debt from the previous government, but many Kenyan first argues that the public’s waste and corruption should be solved.
Last year, Luto had to withdraw its financial law due to protest nationwide, which includes a series of tax hikes.
