Eric Schmidt has joined the CEO in the relativity space.

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt is acquired as a CEO of the 9 -year -old rocket start -up, and the company has confirmed in a statement on TechCrunch. This is Schmidt’s first CEO job after leaving Google about 15 years ago.

On Monday, Schmidt reported to NEW YORK TIMES that Schmidt made a relativity to employees and stake in the company. Schmidt has inherited startup co -founder Tim Ellis as the chief executive.

Schmidt will join the relativity space for 2026 of Terran R, which is larger than the startup started, and compete with SPACEX’s Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy. Expecting the first launch of Terran R, Times reported that the relativity was almost $ 3 billion in the launch contract with the customer.

Relativities are known to produce rockets with abnormal technologies, including 3D printers, automatic robots and artificial intelligence. The company also had bold ambitions, and previously announced plans to send the first personal space mission to Mars by 2024. However, some of the failures of launch have allowed this bold milestone.
