
JACK Draper welcomed the “Age of Come” when he won the BNP Paribas Open Final in Indian Wells.
The UK NO 1 has secured a virgin ATP Masters 1000 title in 68 minutes after passing 6-2 6-2.
The Draper started again on the way to break the rune in the opening game and take the first set in 30 minutes. As he won, he broke up again in the first chance in the second set.
“I didn’t expect it at the beginning of the week,” Draper said. Sky Sports. “I started a year with injuries.
“I talked a lot with my coach about this round in the tournament, and I lost the game in the past and played to play and win my term without taking it to my opponent.
“To play the way you did in the first ball, to find my forehand, to serve well, it is a good moment of my game.”
He added on Monday to win the world ranking seventh to seventh place in the world rankings.
“The amount of adversity I have experienced, the amount of sacrifice, and the time to work hard by everyone around me.
“It’s an emotional feeling to know how much you are going through and how you come here. If you say that you will go to seven people in the world, you can’t tell me how much it means to me.”
Draper continued to say: “I want to be the best player. I want to continue to improve, but I’m looking at what’s happening because I work hard and my dreams are doing what I do.
“Playing on a big stage with the world’s best players gets a chance. It’s an extra bonus to win this big tournament.”
‘Draper will be remembered forever’
Two Indian Wells Finals Tim Henman said Draper said that he had a “statement” victory that could live for a long time in the memory of British players.
