The Marriott International has agreed to expand the luxury brand to empirical and natural -based accommodations by starting its first autograph collection safari camp. SerenGeti’s Mapito Safari Camp will be opened in 3Q along Tanzania’s Great Migration Route.
The hotel has 16 tent suits, including 2 bedroom villas. Each suite is equipped with outdoor decks, fire pits and open -run roofs, allowing outdoor star processing.
The location of the camp between Central SerenGeti and Western Migration Corridor is directly placed in the path of the annual competition from May to July. The surrounding area hosts the opportunity to watch wild animals throughout the year for “Big Five” and other symbolic African species.

Planned amenities include spas, fitness centers, swimming pools and many restaurants. Boma, the main restaurant, will be inspired by the traditional African bonfire meeting. The design of the camp will implement sustainable practices to support conservation efforts while integrating elements of local Ikoma culture.
Activities range from weekly game drives, walking trips at night safari, flying hot air balloons, experiences of bushes, and cultural interactions with Ikoma tribes.
In the case of travel advisors, introducing major hotel brands in the Safari sector provides new options to customers who value both authentic wild biology experience, consistency, loyalty benefits and familiarity of the Marriott distribution system.
