The new leader LEE JAE-MYUNG pledges to ‘unite’ the divided country.

LEE JAE-MYUNG promised to “integrate people” in the inauguration speech on Wednesday a few hours after winning the position of the Korean president.

LEE enters the office at the time when the country is still weakened with deep divisions with deep divisions after the declaration of shock laws by President YOON SUK YEOL in December.

“I will start by resurrecting the economy and healing people,” he told the audience. “Regardless of who you supported in this election … I will be the president of everyone.”

LEE, a candidate for the Liberal Democratic Party, was elected with almost 50%votes.

He criticized the political turmoil of “political factions that I do not want to work for people’s lives.”

“I will try to unite people,” he added.

But it is not just the domestic problem he should claim. Mr. Lee has urgent foreign challenges such as exploring the US -COREA alliance, balancing relations with China, and dealing with neighboring North Korea.

Lee also promised to build a “flexible and practical government” and announced that the emergency economic task force will be “immediately activated.”
