Elon Musk says he’s launching a new party a few weeks after he has dramatically escaped with US President Donald Trump.
The billionaire announced that he had established the US Party on his social media platform X, challenging the Republican and Democratic two -party systems.
However, it is not clear whether the party was officially registered with the US election authorities. Born outside the United States, Musk, who is not eligible for the president of the United States, does not say who will lead it.
He first raised the prospect of establishing a party during the public disagreement with Trump, leaving his role in the administration and participating in all the allies and malicious public spats.
During that, MUSK posted a poll to ask users to see if there should be a new party in the United States.
Musk wrote on Saturday, mentioning the poll in his post, and wrote:
“When we go bankrupt of our country with waste and transplantation, we live in a daily system, not democracy.
“Today the US Party was formed to return you freedom.”
As of Saturday, the Federal Election Commission has not published a document that indicates that the parties have been officially registered.
There were famous players outside the traditional two -party system in US politics, but it is difficult to gain popularity nationwide to create a real threat.
In the presidential election last year, candidates such as the Liberal Party, the Green Party and the People’s Party all attempted in vain in the Trump or Democratic rivals Kamala Harris.
Musk was a core supporter of Trump until recently, and he danced with him at last year’s elections and took a four -year -old son to meet Trump in an elliptical office.
He was also a major financial supporter of Trump: Musk spent $ 250 million (£ 180 million) to regain his office.
After the election, he was appointed to lead the so -called government efficiency, which was in charge of identifying swing cuts in the federal budget.
His fallout with Trump began when he left the administration in May and publicly criticized Trump’s tax and expenditure plans.
The law, which Trump called his “big beautiful bill,” was passed narrowly by parliament and signed by the president this week.
Large laws include large spending promises and tax reductions, and are estimated to add more than 3TN to the US deficit over the next 10 years.
Definitely for Musks owned by an electric vehicle giant Tesla, Trump’s bill does not focus on green conversion or subsidies of products such as Tesla.
Trump wrote this week in Truth Social, a social media site. “Without subsidies, Elon will probably have to close the store and return to South Africa.”
Trump threatened Doge to investigate the favorable subsidies for MUSK’s company and to suggest other billionaire’s other business.
MUSK also launches SPACEX, which launches rocket for the US government and STARLINK, which provides satellite services to the US and European defense troops.
