EPAA few weeks after being drafted in the Ukrainian army, after the death of a 45 -year -old Hungary in Ukraine, he caused a violent line between the Hungarian government and the KYIV authorities.
Jozsef Sebestyen, Ukrainian-Hungarian citizen, was forced to be drafted on June 14 and then hit iron. His brothers and sisters spoke to the Hungarian media.
Sebestyen from Berehove in western Ukraine died at a mental hospital on July 8.
The situation surrounding his death was rejected by the army, but it was revealed in Ukraine in Ukraine, trying to defend the front line in Russia in the face of severe losses.
Sebestyen spoke to his brothers and sisters by Mandiner news site in Hungary, saying, “They took me to the forest with many others and started to hit me.”
“The beating was mainly on the head and body. They said that if I didn’t sign something, I would bring me to zero (the front line). I couldn’t move because it was so sick.”
On July 10, Ambassador Sander Fegyir was summoned to the Hungary Foreign Ministry of Budapest for the incident.
Victor Oban, a critic of the Ukrainian government, wrote about war efforts, posted on Facebook as follows.
On the same day, the Ukrainian army announced the entire rejection.
“According to the hospital’s final report, physical injuries were not found during health checkups,” the statement said.
“We firmly reject allegations of forced labor, inhuman treatment or human rights violations of territorial military centers and other military officials.”
The army continued to be open to the “transparent investigation according to the Ukrainian law.”
SBUThe incident has become the latest flashpoint in the war between the Orban government in Budapest and KYIV’s VolodyMyr Zelensky administration.
In May, the spy row triggered the arrest of the two countries and the expulsion of diplomats.
At the end of June, the Hungarian government announced the results of the latest “national consultation”, and as a result, we presented eight reasons that Ukraine did not allow the EU and invited citizens to vote for “no”.
According to the results, more than 2 million people have not been verified independently.
In Ukraine, allegations of violence are not new. Ukrainian men are qualified in the army between 25 and 60 years old, and most men aged 18 are forbidden to leave the country.
The Hungarian woman of Transcarpathia told the BBC about anonymity.
“The situation has worsened since the war began, but it has been especially bad for the last two months.”
Often, she continued to ignore the medical certificate, which was given exemption from the soldiers, and the holders were unconsciously tied to the vehicle. Thousands of dollars, the “crazy amount”, were required for peaceful leaves.
BBC/Nick ThorpeThere is also a claim that the critics of the government, including journalists, intentionally aims to conscript.
Oleh Dyba, 58, an editor of Zakarpattya Online, is currently striking hunger in military detention. He argued that his knights, investigating the construction of the wind turbine of Carpathian Mountains, were angry with the authorities.
The Ukrainians may have an unfair or violent conscription incident in the office of Ombudsman for human rights.
He recently said his office has received 3,500 complaints about human rights violations in 2024, and there have been more than 2,000 complaints so far this year.
He said that criminal cases have been raised for more than 50 recruits.
When martial arts were proclaimed in February 2022, Ukraine’s right to conscience was abolished.
At the request of the Ukrainian Constitutional Court, the Venice Committee of the European Council announced its opinion on alternative services in Ukraine in March 2025.
“The nations have a positive obligation to set up an alternative service system that must be separated from the military system, not punitive personality and remain within a reasonable time limit.”
