Russian regions report earthquake damage

At 8:25 am, the earthquake had a preliminary size of 8.0, and Japanese and American earthquake scholars said. The US Geological Survey later updated the measurement to 8.8 sizes and the earthquake occurred at about 13 miles depth.

The earthquake was about 74 miles east of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Russian city, which is 180,000 in the KAMCHATKA Peninsula. A number of strong aftershocks of 6.9 size were recorded.

The earthquake has been 9.0 times since the earthquake in northeastern Japan in March 2011, and it seems to be the strongest in the world since it caused a huge tsunami that collapsed at nuclear power plants. Some stronger earthquakes have been measured worldwide.

The tsunami alarm has been suspended in Japan. According to the operator, people who connect Hokkaido and Aomori at the north end of Honshu Island, Japan, and those who connect Tokyo and nearby islands, have been suspended or delayed. Sendai Airport temporarily closed the runway.
