
Ukrainian President VolodyMyr Zelensky demanded strong international sanctions against Russia after at least 31 deaths were killed by a deadly attack on KYIV.
Zelensky said that five children (2 years old) were one of the dead and 159 were injured by Thursday assault.
“Sanctions are effective even if Kremlin rejects his effectiveness, and they must be strengthened,” he said.
KYIV observed the day of mourning after the attack on the capital broke down the apartment block and damaged hospitals, schools, nursery and universities.
The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia has launched more than 300 drones and eight cruise missiles in the assault overnight. This attack has been one of the most deadly KYIVs since Russia began a massive invasion in February 2022.
US President Donald Trump has proposed to criticize Russia’s actions in Ukraine and that new sanctions against Moscow are approaching.
“Russia, I think it’s disgusting. I think it’s disgusting,” he said to the journalists.
On Monday, Trump announced a new “10 or 12” deadline for Russia to agree with Ukraine’s ceasefire.
John Kelley, the United Nations, told the UN Security Council on Thursday that Russia and Ukraine said, “We need to negotiate ceasefire and durable peace.”
“It’s time to trade now,” he said.
On Friday, Ukrainian officials said Kiyf received a “positive signal” from the United States, especially for Russian oil and secondary markets.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Ukraine said Trump said, “tolerant and patient.” But “Now when I put the maximum pressure on Moscow”
Meanwhile, Germany promised to provide additional two additional US Patriot aviation defense systems on Friday.
Zelensky said in July alone that Russia fired more than 5,100 glide bombs, 3,800 Shahed drones and 260 missiles, including 128 ballistics.
“It’s important every day,” he said. “This can only be stopped through joint efforts by the US, Europe and other global actors.”
