China’s President XI Jinping welcomed North Korea’s Kim Jong -un as a long handshake, and after welcoming Russia’s Vladimir Putin, he walked to the seat by the two most sanctions in the world.
It was a political theater. And the meeting seems to have stimulated US President Donald Trump rather than weapons.
At the beginning of the parade, Trump sent a sharp message to the truth society.
It may be the response that XI’s president defended Putin to the right and Kim left left to leave the parade to the left. This moment is probably designed to get angry with the US president who prefers to be the center of the world’s interest.
Chinese leaders have stole the spots and use them to show his strength and influence on the eastern alliance.
The world is a powerful message of XI as the world is free from Trump’s unpredictable castle. In addition to Kim and Putin, there were more than 20 foreign directors. Earlier this week, XI also seemed to reset the relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Trump’s 50% imposition of Indian imports triggered the thawing among long -standing competitors.
Wednesday’s sight was to commemorate the 80 -year -old victory over Japan. But it was actually about where China is heading. XI took on the role of world leaders.
And his foot had an army built to compete with the west.
China has a rein
This was the first time XI, Putin, and Kim had seen together. And together, they went up to the top of the door of peace to see the historical square and see the parade.
Symbolism was difficult to miss. Communist Chinese founder Mao Zedong declared the founding of the Republic in 1949, 10 years later, he hosted Kim’s grandfather and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev.
Getty imageIt was the last time for the leaders of the three countries together. It was the height of the Cold War, and China, like North Korea, was isolated in many places around the world, and the Soviet Union was the most powerful and rich.
Now, it is China that grabs reins in this relationship. It is a nuclear armed but still poor North Korea requires aid of Beijing. And Putin requires justification that XI just provided.
In the past, XI seemed to keep the distance between Putin and Kim and publicly maintain a neutral position on the Ukrainian war. He did not condemn it, but denied that China was helping Russia.
As Russia and North Korea became closer recently, he seemed to have been in a side job. Kim is sending an army to support President Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
But now he seems to have two neighbors standing even if he continues to attack KYIV.
XI said, “Today humanity is facing peace or war, conversation or confrontation, win -win or zero -total choice.” XI, along with the crowd, is attached to the parade of the nation’s main TVs.
China declared, “A great country that is not threatened by any harassment.”
And the following military parade showed it. It was an exhibition of power, precision and patriotism.
It began with a total salute of 80 times in the 80 -year -old salute after China’s victory over Japan in World War II, and the cruel occupation ended. This sound popped out of all corners of the square with 50,000 spectators, and some of them were sitting in silence.
The choir continued, and as the camera panned above, all single members come out correctly. They were in a perfect harmony, “There is no modern China without the Communist Party.” Each verse was a shoe with a fist with a fist.
President XI drove the length of the parade path to check the troops before each battle unit passed through the leader and went to the goose stage. All co -strikes on the runway have a stand.
The Rumbling Tank is the first to appear in China’s new weapon exhibition. But they seemed to be old compared to following. Defend the drone attack with a new nuclear capsule missile that can be fired from the sea, land and air, anti -ultrasound missiles and laser weapons. There was a new underwater and aerial drone to monitor the target.
Getty imageThere is no doubt that the United States has been polished for many years and has been building an army to compete through the participation of conflicts around the world.
And the show of the power of Wednesday was a statement aimed at Putin and Kim, who knew the importance of not only Washington and allies, but even the importance of what they were looking at.
XI said, “The rejuvenation of Chinese countries cannot be stopped.”
I am worried about the west
It seems to work for some people.
On the bridge overlooking the tonghui river, the crowds tried to see the military fly fast away from the main parade path. 30 -year -old Lang said he found a parade moving.
“It is the most fundamental thing we can do to cherish this moment. We believe we will regain Taiwan by 2035.”
This is an investigation that many people in Taiwan’s autonomous islands are afraid of. China believes it is one day it is a departure region that will be united with its homeland. XI did not exclude the use of power to achieve that goal. And the weapon he introduced on Wednesday emphasized China’s naval ability. Taiwanese leaders must worry.
We are also worried about how to end the Ukrainian war in many Western countries, especially in Europe. Many people absent in the parade.
75 -year -old Han Yongguang suggested that Western leaders avoided parade.
“It’s up to them,” he said. “They are envious of the rapid development of China. Honestly, they are active in their hearts. We are entirely dedicated to the general prosperity of mankind. We are different.”
The parade has aroused nationalism when China is fighting for a sluggish economy, real estate crisis, aging population, youth unemployment, and local government fighting deep domestic challenges in debt.
Getty imageAs China appears on the world stage, the XI president needs to find a way to prevent the rapidly growing middle class from worrying about the future. I thought China’s economic rise could not be stopped, but it is no longer.
Therefore, this parade can be welcomed with all the investigations of Japan’s old enemies.
After the state -of -the -art weapons, including nuclear missiles, were long displayed, the parade was finished with thousands of pigeons and balloons released through Beijing.
Even songs, marches, missiles, drones, and even “robot wolves” were not about China’s struggle.
Rather, it was about how far China came, and how it was catching up with the United States and challenging for superiority.
