
Munich airport in Germany closed the door and canceled more than 12 flights after seeing the drone near the airspace on Thursday night.
At least 17 flights were grounded in Munich, influencing almost 3,000 passengers.
Munich airport has shifted 15 flights to nearby cities.
There was no immediate confirmation of where the drone came from. Unidentified drones have closed several airports across Europe in recent weeks.
Munich airport warned the authorities after the drone was detected. The flight of Munich airport was “stop” and the airport closed 05:00 2 hours before midnight.
Aeronautical traffic control has redirected flights from Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Vienna and Frankfurt.
Stefan Bayer Federal Police spokesman told the BILD newspaper that no information on the type, size or origin of the drone was not confirmed because it was dark. The drone was first witnessed at the local time 21:30 (19:30 GMT), and once again, the police once again said.

Recently, a drone witnessed throughout the European Union triggered a leader summit this week at Copenhagen.
Twenty Russian drones went to Poland, and the Russian MIG-31 jet recently entered the Estonia Airspace with a separate incident.
Copenhagen and Oslo airports were forced to be discovered near the airport and military air factories.
Russia refused to participate and Danish authorities say there is no evidence that Moscow was involved.
On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who talked with the summit in Sochei, Socchi, laughed at the proposal of ordering drones to Denmark.
Putin said, “I will never do that again. I will never do it again for France, Denmark or Copenhagen.”
Thousands of passengers were stranded overnight at Munich Airport.
“Camp beds are installed and blankets, drinks and snacks have been provided.”
The city is currently hosting the annual Oktorber Fest Festival, which is scheduled to end on October 5th. According to the official website, the festival attracts more than 6 million people every year.
