

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is in critical but stable condition after being shot Sunday morning in Manhattan.
An NYPD spokesperson said emergency responders transported a 29-year-old man to Bellevue Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was in critical but stable condition and declined to name the victim.
A police spokesman said no arrests had been made and the investigation was ongoing.
“We are aware of the situation involving Chris Boyd and will not be commenting further at this time,” the Jets said in a statement to Reuters.
From the statement sky sports news, “We have been in contact with the club but will decline to comment further,” an NFL spokesperson said.
Boyd was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2019 draft and also played for the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals.
In March of this year, he signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets.
