butter is better
The reason I chose butter over vanilla is because honestly, the white chocolate and condensed milk already brings plenty of vanilla flavor to the party. But the butter adds a cozy, rich depth and helps everything melt like a dream. What are the results? This churro fudge is softer, creamier, and has a more flat feel than the others.
Churro Fudge Ingredients

- white chocolate: Do not bake chips or anything labeled “vanilla flavor.” It doesn’t melt. Choose real white chocolate with at least 30% cocoa butter (look for ivory or light yellow). Brands like Guittard, Ghirardelli, Lindt or Callebaut work great or cut high quality bars instead of using chips.
- sweetened condensed milk Alternatively, any coconut version would work beautifully in this recipe.
- Cinnamon Sugar:Store-bought is great, but making your own is easy. mix½ cup of granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon.
- Sweetness Level: To reduce sweetness, use less cinnamon sugar inside or on top. Please note that this will reduce the flavor of the classic churro.
