West Bromwich Albion have appointed former Manchester United first-team coach Eric Ramsay as their new manager.
The 34-year-old replaces Ryan Mason, who left MLS side Minnesota United, where he spent the last two seasons, and was sacked on Tuesday, seven months after 10 consecutive away defeats, leaving the club 18th in the Championship.
Ramsey has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract after signing a compensation deal with Minnesota and his first game will be Friday’s home game against Middlesbrough. sky sports.
Ramsey was appointed Manchester United’s player development coach under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021, working under Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag.

He also served as an assistant to coach Rob Page in the 2023 Wales national team, but left after six months in office.
When he took over at Minnesota United in February 2024, he became the youngest full-time manager in MLS history and led them to the playoffs before setting a club record for total points last season, finishing in fourth place before losing in the semifinals.
Ramsey will be assisted by Dennis Lawrence, who joins Mark Robins at Coventry City after working as first-team coach with Roberto Martinez at Wigan Athletic and Everton in Minnesota.
