Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari race engineer Riccardo Adami has moved to a different role with the Italian team ahead of the 2026 season.
Hamilton endured a very disappointing debut campaign with Ferrari in 2025. That’s because the seven-time world champion went an entire season without a Grand Prix podium for the first time in his Formula 1 career.
The 41-year-old regularly appeared frustrated and confused by his radio exchanges with Adami, who was the Briton’s direct point of contact on the Ferrari pit wall while struggling to hold on to the underperforming car.

“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Riccardo Adami has moved to a new role within the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy, having previously served as Car Test Manager. His extensive trackside experience and Formula 1 expertise contribute to the development of future talent and strengthening the performance culture across the program,” Ferrari said in a statement released on Friday.
“Scuderia Ferrari HP would like to thank Riccardo for his dedication and contribution to his trackside role and wish him every success in his new role.
“The appointment of a new race engineer for car 44 will be announced in due course.”

Ferrari will unveil its 2026 livery on January 23 ahead of the first of three pre-season test events in Barcelona from January 26 to 30.
Additional testing is scheduled due to the introduction of new technical regulations, which include major changes to both the engine and chassis.
