CCTV footage captured the moment commuters spotted a snake on a Sydney train platform.
People were seen running away as soon as they encountered a snake.
One passerby approached the snake, grabbed it with his bare hands and moved out of the way, while others kept their distance.
A Transport for New South Wales spokesperson told Australian media the snake was a brown or black snake, both species being venomous.
