ICE protester speaks out after White House shares fake arrest images

US civil rights lawyer and activist Nekima Levy Armstrong said she was “disgusted” after the White House published a photo of her arrest that showed her crying.

She was detained last month on charges of organizing a protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a church in Minnesota.

BBC Verification’s Jake Horton spoke to Levy Armstrong about the doctored image and the backlash she faced.
