Starmer came under pressure to resign because of the ambassador’s relationship with Epstein.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is in a politically unstable situation as calls for his resignation increase over his appointment of former Ambassador to the United States Peter Mandelson, who has close ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
“We need to be honest about failures everywhere. Things are not good in Downing Street. There have been too many mistakes.” “The Mandelson saga tells you everything you need to know. The depth, the number of people involved and the extent of the corruption make it probably the biggest political scandal we’ve seen for 100 years. And it’s not like the Prime Minister wasn’t warned. Everyone knew it was the wrong man.” “I think Keir Starmer was a good guy when he first came in, but my opinion has changed a lot. I think he’s pretty terrible now, especially with the Mandelson thing going on. So do I. I think I’ll stick with it for a week, but yeah.” “I think it’s going to be a tough week for him, but I think he’ll probably survive.”
