At least five Palestinians have been killed in Israeli drone strikes targeting two police posts in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip and the al-Mawasi area of southern Khan Younis.
The attacks until Friday night were blamed by Hamas for undermining efforts to mediate a “ceasefire” that Israel has violated almost daily since October 10.

Medical sources at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis reported the arrival of three bodies and several injured people following an Israeli military attack on a police checkpoint at the al-Maslakh intersection in al-Mawasi. Sources said the attack occurred in an area outside Israeli military control and that the condition of some of the injured was critical.
In central Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a police post at the entrance to the Bureij refugee camp.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said the rising death toll from Israel’s continued bombing of the Gaza Strip reflected “the Zionist occupation forces’ blatant disregard for the efforts of mediators and complete disregard for the Peace Council and its role.”
Kassem added in the statement that Israel continues its war of extermination against the Palestinian people, albeit with some changes in format and methods. It noted that “the guarantor’s comments about the cessation of war lack substantive substance.”
