Israel is exporting its Gaza playbook to Lebanon, a non-profit group has warned, as Israeli forces continue to attack Lebanon after ordering the forcible displacement of hundreds of thousands of Lebanese civilians.
Palestinian Medical Assistance (MAP) said on Friday that Israel’s bombing and forced displacement orders across southern Lebanon and southern suburbs of the capital Beirut were “instilling widespread fear among the civilian population.”

“What we are seeing in Lebanon is a clear expansion of the Israeli military operations used in the Gaza Strip,” said Steve Cutts, CEO of the UK-based charity.
“This includes collective punishment, forced displacement and deliberate terrorism against civilians, including already traumatized Palestinian communities,” Kurtz said in a statement.

The Israeli military regularly issues similar orders in its genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to relocate on multiple occasions during Israel’s more than two-year bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
Last September, the Israeli military issued a forced relocation order to the entire Gaza Strip, drawing criticism from the international community.
“This order is cruel and unlawful and further worsens the genocidal living conditions that Israel is inflicting on the Palestinian people,” Human Rights Watch said at the time.
Israeli leaders also compared Israel’s escalating offensive against Lebanon this week to the war in Gaza.
On Thursday, after a mandatory evacuation order was issued for Beirut’s southern suburbs, Israel’s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Israel was planning to turn the Dahiyeh area into a Khan Younis region.
Khan Younis, a city in southern Gaza, like most of the Strip, has lost many lives to Israel’s war.
