The Nevis-St Kitts Cross Channel Swim is back and will be held on March 28, 2026. Nevis Tourism shared the news during a press conference and media briefing held at Malcolm Guishard Recreation Park. Attendees included government leaders, tourism stakeholders, event organizers, sponsors, and local and international media.
Nevis-St Kitts Cross Channel Swimming Information
This event is one of the Caribbean’s most iconic open water endurance events. It attracts some of the best marathon and open water swimmers. This year former marathon swimmer and GB Olympic open water swimmer Alice Dearing will be taking part in this challenging upcoming swim.
The Nevis-St Kitts Cross Channel Swim is a 4.1 kilometer (2.5 mile) fitness challenge. It tests the swimmer’s endurance, discipline, spirit, and ability to stay focused. This route spans the Narrows between Nevis and St. Kitts. This is a picturesque channel that offers unique views of islands, volcanic peaks, and palm tree-lined coastline.

Andia Ravariere, CEO of Nevis Tourism Board, commented on the event. She said: “The Nevis-St Kitts Cross Channel Swim is more than a sporting event. It is a bold statement of where Nevis is headed. This rare crossing between two beautiful islands is an experience that very few destinations in the region can offer.”
Nevis Prime Minister Mark Brantley is looking forward to the event. He emphasized the national significance of the event, its role in raising Nevis’ global profile, and the pride it generates for the island and its residents. The Prime Minister emphasized, “The Annual Nevis-St Kitts Open Water Swim is a unique sporting event that has appeared on the bucket lists of swimmers around the world. Every year, swimmers and their families come from all over the world to take part in this bespoke event and test themselves against the warm Caribbean waters.”
