
The WBO heavyweight champion’s trainer, Ben Davidson, says Fabio Wadley is ready for a “penalty shootout” with British rival Daniel Dubois.
Wardley will make the first defense of his WBO belt against Dubois when two of Britain’s most explosive heavyweights share the ring in Manchester on May 9.
Dubois showed his punching power with stoppage wins over Anthony Joshua, Filip Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller, but Wardley also showed his menace by ruthlessly stopping Joseph Parker and Justis Huni.

Wardley’s dramatic wins over Huni and Parker were recognized by the British Boxing Board of Control, which named the undefeated 31-year-old boxer of the year at an awards ceremony on Sunday.
