Group composition and tee time for the third round of The Players, the flagship event of the PGA Tour held at TPC Sawgrass in Florida.

Ludvig Åberg entered the weekend two strokes clear of Xander Schauffele after shooting a stunning second-round 63. Here he reached the turn in 29, tying his tournament record for ninth place.

Cam Young and Justin Thomas are also in contention. 2021 champion Thomas is chasing his second win at the event, while Corey Conners and Sepp Straka are also set to start late on Saturday as they look to finish in Åberg.

Seventy-three players finished the weekend at 2 over par or better, with Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy stuttering after finishing their second rounds with birdies.

Both players were looking for their third win of the tournament, but were well out of contention, 13 strokes behind Scheffler’s second-round 73 and McIlroy’s 71.
