The 2026 Oscars featured surprising wins, moving speeches and comedic moments as stars gathered for Hollywood’s biggest night.
At the ceremony, action thriller One Battle After Another won the most Oscars of the night, taking home six categories, including Best Picture. But there were also many historic moments, including Jessie Buckley becoming the first Irish star to win Best Actress.
And Michael B Jordan, who achieved a shocking victory amid fierce competition from Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothee Chalamet, won the Best Actor award. This marks only the sixth black actor to win the award in the Academy’s nearly 100-year history.
