The video appears to show the Washington Correspondents’ Dinner suspect opening fire on agents.

CCTV footage has been released showing a suspect shooting a U.S. Secret Service agent at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for D.C., said the video was released to the public to prove ‘there is no evidence that the shooting was the result of friendly fire.’

Earlier in the day, U.S. President Donald Trump said in response to questions from reporters, “It wasn’t friendly fire,” and “It wasn’t us.”

The BBC’s Peter Bowes explains in detail what the video shows.
