Fresh Mango Salsa Recipe (perfect for dipping and toppings!)

Summer is coming. That means mango season!

In my opinion, juicy mangoes aren’t used as often as they should be in recipes. We’ve put together a tutorial on how to cut a mango so you can easily remove the seeds. Forget the tomatoes for a moment and take this as your cue to up your salsa game. This is Mango Time BB. I came to the party.

This super fresh and easy mango salsa uses wonderful summer fruits and vegetables for a simple yet delicious flavor combination you’ll fall in love with. Here’s the grocery list:

  • avocado

Easy way to customize

Among some ingredients? Here are some alternative ingredients and easy customizations for a delicious mango salsa.

  • Fruit Swap: Play around with the flavor by adding pineapple, peaches, or chopped strawberries.
  • Cool off: Do you like a spicier salsa? Leave the seeds on the jalapeno peppers or dice the habaneros for an extra kick!
  • Eat a lot of vegetarian food: Switch up your vegetable produce with fresh tomatoes or sweet corn.

Transform it into a summer salad

A great way to add heartiness and turn this into a light lunch or side dish is to add a can of washed and drained black beans and/or a cup of cooked quinoa! This salsa goes from a party dip to a fun, scoopable lunch you can enjoy with spoons, chips, or tacos.

How to Make Mango Salsa in 3 Easy Steps

This recipe couldn’t be easier to make. All you have to do is chop up a few ingredients, stir them into a bowl, and grab some chips for dipping!

  1. Cut up your produce. To easily cut a mango, use one of these methods: Use this method to perfectly cut an avocado or this method to cut a red onion. easy!
  2. Mix the ingredients. Place all chopped produce in a large bowl and carefully mix together.
  3. Add some flavor. We also recommend squeezing fresh lime juice and adding salt and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Yum!

Don’t forget these tips when making fruit salsa

The most important tip when making fresh fruit salsa is to make sure it’s ripe and that your produce isn’t overcooked. Ripe mangoes and avocados tend to break down and become soft when added to salsa, so choose slightly firmer fruits.

This fresh mango salsa recipe is packed with colorful ingredients including avocado, mango, red bell pepper, jalapeno, and red onion. This easy homemade salsa is perfect on salmon, fish tacos, chicken, and even chips!

ingredient

  • 1 Large, firm avocado, cut into chunks (very slightly ripe)
  • 1 ½ Stack chopped mangoes in a cup (2 large ripe mangoes)
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 Seed and chopped jalapenos
  • ¼ cup fresh chopped cilantro
  • Peel and juice of 1 small lime
  • salt and pepper to taste

guideline

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and mix to combine. Garnish with extra cilantro. Serve with multigrain tortilla chips. You can also eat it with salmon, fish tacos, or shrimp. Serves 4-6. Double the recipe to serve 10 to 12 people.
