Bodycam footage shows the moment a baby was taken into custody by police after his mother threw him out a window during a house fire in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the mother through an upstairs window. He told her to kick out the screen window and drop the baby on him. He caught the baby a moment later.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said in a statement that both mother and baby were taken to the hospital for precautionary evaluations but “had no injuries.”
Authorities added that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
