“Many skilled tradespeople – electricians, roofers, installers, technicians and craftsmen – are earning high incomes and are desperately needed in society,” explains Van der Helm. “It’s a very money-centric society for young people. When they see a carpenter doing what he loves and making a lot of money quickly, they see that as an aspiration.”
