It will be the only Andaz. caribbean — Hyatt has had one at its Mayakoba development in the Mexican Caribbean for some time, but that property closed last year and is now a newly branded resort called Alila.
First announced in 2018, the project has come a long way. That means it’s been almost a decade in development until it welcomes its first guests next year.
Andaz’s announcement that year actually helped spark an unrivaled residential resort boom in Turks and Caicos. The boom showed no signs of slowing down, with The Loren leading the way to St. Paul’s. Many more properties are planned, from St. Regis to New Kempinski.
