Through its Computer Giveaway Program, Compudopt offers eligible households in select communities across the continental United States the opportunity to win a free refurbished computer.
To qualify, your household must not currently have access to a working computer at home. Computers provided by schools or employers are not included in this requirement.
Here’s how the program works:
- Select your city or region from the list of available prizes.
- Please fill out the short registration form for your location.
- Register your household only once.
- Names will be selected randomly prior to the regional distribution event.
- Selected recipients will receive an email and/or text message with pickup instructions.
Registration is currently available in Washington, D.C., and select cities and regions across 21 states. If your city isn’t listed, you can suggest your area for future giveaways by filling out Compudopt’s interest form.

Do you have an old device that is collecting dust? You can help other families by donating to Compudopt! The organization accepts donations of personal devices, including computers, tablets, mobile devices, monitors and accessories. Donated devices can be safely cleaned and refurbished for distribution or responsibly recycled.
