Walmart+ Week 2024 will run from June 17 to 23 (up from 4 to 7 days last year), according to a recent press release from Walmart. And that's not the only change. A few things are different about the 2024 sale.

What is Walmart+ Week?
Walmart+ Week first appeared in 2023 (running in July). This year's members-only sale is only available to Walmart+ members. This is a little different than last year when Walmart+ Week began. It granted early access to Walmart+ members, but then opened up the deal to all shoppers. Walmart+ is Walmart's paid membership program ($98 per year) that offers benefits like free shipping, discounts at partner gas stations, free Paramount+, and more.
During Walmart+ Week 2024, shoppers can get:
- Exclusive deals and benefits available only to members.
- Double your fuel discount at Exxon & Mobil gas stations nationwide. Save 20 cents per gallon.
- Get up to 20% back in Walmart Cash on flights, hotels, car rentals and activities booked through Walmart+ Travel, perfect for the summer travel season. By the way, Walmart Cash is Walmart's rewards currency available only to Walmart+ members and can be used on future purchases.
- One free express delivery means you can receive your order within 2 hours without the usual $10 fee.
- Try Walmart+ InHome for 3 months free. Conveniently access your most desired items right on your kitchen counter.
- Only members have exclusive access to new and unique items.
- Mystery Proposal (a first ever!). Walmart plans to release more details on June 20th.
These offers are slightly different from the 2023 event, which offered six free months of Panera Unlimited Sip Club, $30 Rover credit, and a Six Flags BOGO deal. Clearly Walmart is confusing this sale with each iteration.
When is Walmart+ week?
The 2024 event will run from June 17th (12:00 AM ET) to the 23rd. The timing is different from last year. In 2023, Walmart is holding Walmart+ Week from July 10th to 13th (meaning this year's event is longer than last year's). Last year's sale also overlapped with Amazon Prime Day. Amazon has already announced that Prime Day will take place in July. That means…Walmart+ week happens long before Prime Day.
This is an interesting move by Walmart. Over the past few years, we've seen major retailers intentionally run huge sales on Amazon Prime Day. But this year, Walmart will definitely come out ahead. Actually start a month ahead.
