The BBC visited a block of flats on Friday in the eastern city of Galaci, on Romania’s border with Ukraine, in what Romania described as a Russian drone.
A resident of the building said he was scared after the incident, which left two people injured.
He told BBC Eastern Europe correspondent Sarah Rainsford: “When I get back to my flat tonight, I’m going to sleep in fear.”
Romanian President Nikushor Dan said the drone’s trajectory may have changed after being attacked by Ukrainian air defenses over Kiev territory, but Russia questioned whether the drone was Russian.
