A major E. coli outbreak sickened nearly 500 people in Germany in 2025, according to recent figures released by the regional Department of Health and Social Affairs.
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s Landesamt für Gesundheit und Soziales (LAGuS) reported 476 cases and three deaths. Previously, it was reported that 428 people were infected related to this incident.
